We would like to let our members know about an awesome program called Grouper! We have partnered with Grouper, whose mission is to encourage healthy living through activities that build meaningful social connections and shared experiences, like pickleball!!!

 

 

So, what is this “GROUPER” Health program the Stone Creek Pickleball Club is promoting?

First, Grouper is a marketing organization (previously known as Element3) that represents a group of health insurance companies in the promotion of their wellness programs. A wellness program is an effort by insurance companies (and other organizations) to get their policyholders involved in a healthy lifestyle, thereby reducing their (the insurance company) costs.

 

Why? There are numerous studies that prove getting people off the couch and on their feet has a direct correlation to insurance company costs. People with healthy lifestyles cost less to maintain than those that do not. No rocket science here.

 

Insurance companies offer their policyholders incentives to opt into, and stay in, these programs. So, where does Grouper fit in? Insurance companies offer such programs directly to their policyholders and market on a one-to-one approach. But Grouper, as a representative of insurance companies, markets these wellness plans to organizations where everyone is already engaged in some sort of program, like Stone Creek Pickleball and is therefore a concentrated “healthy population.”

Participation is free for those who qualify and the insurance company pays Grouper directly.

Each eligible Stone Creek Pickleball Club Member who signs up will receive their annual dues reimbursed via a check in the mail. Yes, you read that right – straight to you, making things simple and convenient.  If you are already in the old Element3 program or registered for Grouper earlier in the year, you do not have to do anything.

To participate, simply enroll at our dedicated club enrollment link to see if you are eligible to have your annual club dues paid directed to you.
